Thinking about writing and self publishing a book about coaching high school tennis coaching.

How hard can it be? Plus I might make like $34.

The books that are out there currently are dogshit. I have read or researched several of the top rated ones.

What can I add to this typology?

• How to relate to and keep team under control
• The job of coaching tennis and relationships with the school, other coaches, parents
• Not be 300 years old
• Good graphics
• Relatable anecdotes
• There is nothing new in actual technical tennis, but I have a focused look at what is most important

How will I go about this?

• Collect nuggets of wisdom
• Collect technical concepts and illustrations
• The organization will become clear
• Develop style for material and graphics

Such as it is, I would prefer the logo be more wack.

I made this audio sketch this morning instead of doing work. All the percussion and noises are sampled from ravens. The rest is detritus sampled from internet.

Had to do a family requested living room rewind of DJ Marky – LK, which is rare because they do not even know what that is. I used to prefer the version without the MC. Now I enjoy both equally.

Back in the day I had an MP3 ripped from Grooverider’s show with him talking over the start. (If you know you know). I miss that cultural artifact.

Do you guys remember the internet own that was “touch grass” a couple years ago or Rick Rubin saying to do the very same thing every morning in his boring book that I was forced to read for book club? I have one-upped this concept.

For your health you should feed plants every day before you do anything else.

I have been reading 80s sci-fi novels. When I say reading I mean listening to them on audio book while working or at the gym.

The kind of books where they identify the following in the first chapter:

• how the ships are propelled
• what sort of portals they use to transport around the universe
• what their relationship to old earth is
• what the government is

Interestingly the books include ai as a big part of decision making in government and obviously planet earth is trashed or blown up.

Hyperion Series: Pretty decent 4 book series with good enough plot and character development. Not a spoiler: In the end one of the main characters fulfills her goal to travel way back in time a to Taliesin to study Architecture under Frank Lloyd Wright.

Iain M Banks Culture Novels: These are good. I have been reading the physical books. Each is a separate story within the culture framework. There is nothing too deep here, but as far as being an entertaining read these are some of the best of the genre.

Peter F. Hamilton’s Commonwealth Saga: Boring and I will probably bail on this one.

Let’s put the straps and part that touches your back on the bottom that you set down in goose shit at the park. I got this one for free so I thought I’d give it a go. There has to be a better deign. I prefer a backpack, but I don’t want to look like little Timmy’s first day at school.

Star Trek The Next Generation

In 2026 I will rewatch the prominent leftist Star Trek The Next Generation television show.

¿How did you consume the show originally?
I remember it was on one of the few TV channels we had in England and it was current. I didn’t have strong feelings about it at the time, but I did watch it while doing other things, which is more than I can say of most TV.

Update: It was definitely on after Yo MTV Raps.
